Futility

I shoveled my parents driveway twice last night. In total I scooped up something like 7 inches.

I rolled out of bed this morning, took a shower, had breakfast and opened the garage door to encounter another 12-14 inches or something like that (no, I am not a meteorologist).

Shoveling snow, like drinking, helps pass the time and unlike drinking is good honest work which I highly recommend for dealing. Along with discomfort in general, I heartily endorse honest work where you can find it.

What is that thing under that snow? An old Forerunner maybe?

(don’t forget the stairs).

After all that shoveling, I went back inside and sat around for a couple hours. Then, around 2:00 I went back out. What did I find? Another two inches of snow.

What kind of car is that? Is that an Escalade?

At the heart of this gigantic pile of snow is another pile of snow that’s left over from a couple weeks ago when Virginia got hit with the last big storm.

Further updates as events warrant.

Big versions of these shots and others in the random cell phone photo stream.
